Since I've gotten married, we haven't had a chance to plan our honeymoon. With all the excitement and energy that went into our wedding, there just wasn't enough time. Now that things are settling down, we've had some time to think about where we want to go and decided to go to Italy! I've never been to Italy but I imagine it's simply gorgeous, filled with little alleys packed with restaurants serving delicious food. My plan is to eat as much as I can, drink some strong milky coffee and ride around in a cute convertible every chance I get.

In the busy streets of New York, we rarely get the chance to stop and enjoy what's around us. Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort bubble and see the beauty in the little things we often take for granted. During these hot days of summer I have been doing just that. I embrace the heat, the vibrant blossoms in full bloom and even the sweat that trickles down my back while riding the train to work. When I saw this palm printed dress, it reminded me of the nature that surrounds us even in the city. It's bold, free flowing, light and effortlessly beautiful. Take a moment and be one with nature and all that she embodies.

It's always nice to get back to Philly and spend time with my family. Today I head back to New York. This is what I wore on the way back and yes, I am in my backyard! It's more like tales from the dark side out here at night, but in the morning it pretty much just as scary looking! Anyway, since the sun was out shining so bright I figure I'd take the initiative and find my light.
