TWO SIDES TO SPRING

Cynthia Simpson

Spring is funny, isn't it? Just when you think it's finally time to put away all your winter gear, you have days where you WISH you left home with more then just that cute new jacket.
There are times in life that are similar to Spring's sporadic mood swings. Things seem to be going well and then all of a sudden you're hit with a challenge or setback. We tend to focus and obsess about the moments that don't go as planned, totally forgetting that there is another side where you can grow and learn more about yourself.
It's difficult to see the positive in a bad situation so instead, focus on the outcome that you desire and remind yourself better days are just around the corner.

SCARVES ON #FLEEK!

Cynthia Simpson

This winter has been a hard one in New York but never fear, oversized scarves are here! The oversized scarf is just the right colorful layering piece to keep you warm and comfy. My friend Amari has on a vintage scarf that she got back in California.

Here are a few other scarves that I thought were on fleek. They can all be found including mine at ASOS!

3 THINGS YOU SHOULDN'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT

Cynthia Simpson

1.  A SCARF

I Love scarves! Living in New York the weather is constantly changing. It can be sunny one minute and snowing the next. (That really happened last week) In the winter keeping your neck protected and warm keeps your body temperature at a comfortable level when you are going in and out of the cold. During the summer a scarf not only keeps your hair in place when it gets windy, It also protects you from the scorching sun rays.

2. FRAMES

Sunglasses are a great accessory and look cool on everyone. If you are a people watcher like me, then they will come in real handy so you can check people out as long as you want without freaking them out!  I like to switch it up by wearing my glasses or clear frames.

3. UMBRELLA

When you are walking around town the last thing you want is to be caught in the rain! I know they can be a pain to carry at times but you can get a great compact one that can fit right in your bag or clutch.
